Michael R. Berthold is a leading expert on the KNIME platform and current Nycomed-Chair for Bioinformatics and Information Mining at Konstanz University, Germany. His research at the university focuses on using machine learning methods for the interactive analysis of large information repositories in the Life Sciences. After receiving his PhD from Karlsruhe University, Germany Michael Berthold spent over seven years in the US, among others at Carnegie Mellon University, Intel Corporation, the University of California at Berkeley and - more recently - as director of an industrial think tank in South San Francisco.

In 2008 Michael co-founded KNIME.com GmbH, located in Zurich, Switzerland. KNIME.com offers consulting and training for the KNIME platform in addition to an increasing range of enterprise products (Report and Enterprise Server and KNIME Cluster Execution) and the free KNIME Report Designer. Michael is a sought-after keynote speaker due to his expansive knowledge of academic and industrial data analytics. 
Davin Potts has 10 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical drug discovery industry.  Davin has applied massive data mining, visualization and modeling techniques to challenges in social graph analysis, molecular modeling, and computer vision. As Pervasive DataRush Director of Product Management, Davin provides Pervasive DataRush strategic technology direction, customer alignment and architectural direction for the highly parallel data preparation and analytics framework.
