Pervasive PSQL Summit™ v10 is now available
The day has arrived!
Many of you have waited eagerly the last few months as the Vista-friendly, 64-bit-ready Pervasive PSQL Summit v10 went through several levels of rigorous beta testing. Now Pervasive's latest version of PSQL has moved to general availability.
Feedback from customers now using Pervasive PSQL Summit v10 has been highly positive. For example, see Colorado-based Profit Systems' comments in this issue's sidebar. In the months ahead, other customers will be discussing their use of Pervasive PSQL Summit v10 as well – so keep an eye on future editions of PSQL Insights!
There's a lot of value packed into this version, including both 32-bit and 64-bit support, performance accelerator Xtreme I/O (with the advantages of XIO Manager and XIO Statistics), a new Windows Install along with InstallShield, and, in a record-crunching nutshell, better speed and performance. Learn more by visiting the Pervasive PSQL Summit v10 Web site or get the inside scoop from Product Manager Jim Beecher (aka "The Beech").

TECHNICALLY SPEAKING
In-depth learning videos delivered by Pervasive Engineers
This month includes two topics: PSQL v10 features and Xtreme I/O in depth
Pervasive is pleased to offer a new video series, Technically Speaking, which will help instruct our customers on the technology behind Pervasive database products. The first video in the series features PSQL Product Manager Jim Beecher diving into more than a few details about Pervasive PSQL Summit v10 and, more specifically, the new system accelerator Xtreme I/O (XIO) and enhanced SQL performance.
Another video is available presenting a much more in-depth discussion of Xtreme I/O with Pervasive Senior Software Development Engineer Chris Williams. Described as "dedicated memory to PSQL," XIO is one of the most important advances in Pervasive technology in some time. We hope you'll tune in. And we hope you come back as more videos are posted.
